2. General information on data processing

As a rule we process our users' personal data only in so far as this is necessary to provide a functioning website together with our content and services. Processing takes place on the applicable legal bases set out in Art. 6 GDPR. Personal data is erased as soon as the purpose of storage no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

3. Provision of the website and server log files

Each time the website is accessed, our system automatically records data and information from the accessing device (including IP address, date and time of access, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL). The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the technically faultless presentation and the security of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The log files are erased after 30 days at the latest.

4. Cookies

This website currently uses no tracking or marketing cookies and embeds no analytics or advertising services.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by email (for example at the address info@juni.com given on this website) or by telephone (+49 69 5077 5780), the data you provide is processed in order to deal with your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data is erased as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose for which it was collected and no statutory retention obligations exist.

6. Appointment requests, online presentations and initial consultations

Using the “Book a demo” button you can request a non-binding appointment for a presentation of open.junixx on any page; the same form appears as “Online presentation” in the “Get the brochure” window on the module pages. Using the “Free initial consultation” button on the “Project process” page – and as the “Initial consultation” tab in that same window – you request a consultation about a possible project. All three routes are the same kind of request and process the same data:

  • your email address – the only mandatory field,
  • optionally: preferred date and time, salutation, first and last name, publishing house, and for the initial consultation also your telephone number,
  • your message, if you fill in the optional message field,
  • the time of the request, the page from which you submitted the form, and the technical data required as evidence of your consent (IP address and user agent).

Purpose: for us to contact you in order to arrange a non-binding appointment for a presentation of open.junixx. If you do not give a preferred date, we will suggest one. For the initial consultation: arranging an appointment for a free, non-binding consultation about a possible project. If you have given a telephone number, we use it solely to arrange that appointment.

Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by ticking the box in the form.

Retention period: your further details – name, publishing house, preferred date, telephone number and message – are erased as soon as your request has reached us; they then exist only in the mailbox from which we reply. Should that forwarding fail technically, the details remain stored until the entry expires (see below). Your email address and the record of consent are stored until withdrawal, and for no longer than 365 days after your request was received. If the matter is settled sooner, we erase them sooner.

Withdrawal: you may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future – a message to info@juni.com is sufficient and no reason is required. The lawfulness of processing carried out up to the withdrawal remains unaffected.

Process: your request reaches us immediately after you submit it. We do not send a separate confirmation email; you can see directly in the form that the request has arrived. Until 28 August 2026 a confirmation step was required beforehand (double opt-in); anyone who received a confirmation email at that time can still use the unsubscribe link it contains.

Evidence of consent: in order to meet our accountability obligation (Art. 5(2) and Art. 7 GDPR) we log the time of the request, the exact wording of the consent text including its version, and the IP address and user agent used. This evidence is stored until withdrawal, and for no longer than 365 days after the request was received, and is erased thereafter.

Sending and disclosure: we use the mail server of our email service provider to send the messages. Your address is not passed on to any other third parties; there is no analysis, no profiling and no advertising mail.

7. Brochure

On the module pages you can request the open.junixx brochure using the “Get the brochure” form. Depending on which of the two routes you choose, we process different data – in each case only what that route requires. (The tabs “Online presentation” and “Initial consultation” are appointment requests and are covered in section 6.)

  • Brochure by post: salutation, first and last name, publishing house, postal address (street, postcode, town, country) and your email address,
  • Brochure as a PDF: your email address, and optionally salutation, name and publishing house,
  • your message, if you fill in the optional message field,
  • in each case the time of the request, the page from which you submitted the form, and the technical data required as evidence of your consent (IP address and user agent).

Purpose: sending you the brochure by the route you have chosen.

Legal basis: your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, which you give by ticking the box in the respective form. The consent text states expressly which data is used for which purpose; for postal dispatch it also covers the postal address.

Retention period: postal address, name and message are erased as soon as your request has reached us – they then exist only in the mailbox from which we send the brochure. Should that forwarding fail technically, the details remain stored until the entry expires. Your email address and the record of consent remain until withdrawal, and for no longer than 365 days after your request was received.

Disclosure: your details are not passed on to third parties; there is no analysis, no profiling and no advertising mail. We use the mail server of our email service provider to send the messages.

8. Hosting

Our website is hosted by an external service provider. Personal data collected on this website is stored on the host's servers.

Hosting provider: Amazon Web Services EMEA SARL,
German branch,
Marcel-Breuer-Str. 12, D-80807 Munich.
Server location: Frankfurt / Germany / EU.

Use is based on our legitimate interest in providing our service securely and efficiently (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.

9. Web fonts

For a consistent appearance we use the “Open Sans” typeface. It is loaded locally from our own server (self-hosting); no data is transmitted to third parties.

10. Posts from our Instagram channel

On our home page we show the posts most recently published on our Instagram channel. No embedding takes place. We include neither an Instagram widget nor an iframe, a script or a tracking pixel from Meta Platforms. The images, videos and texts of those posts are held as copies on our own server and are loaded exclusively from there. When the home page is opened, no data is therefore transmitted to Meta Platforms and no cookies are set by Meta.

Only when you expressly click “View on Instagram” do you leave our website and open instagram.com. The privacy notices of Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd. then apply; we have no influence over the processing that takes place there.

Retention period: we keep the copies of these posts held on our server for the twelve most recent posts; older ones are deleted automatically together with their image and video files. Of these, the four most recent are displayed. If the most recent post is more than 90 days old, the section is no longer shown.

Where individuals are identifiable in a post, publication takes place on the basis of their consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) or of our legitimate interest in presenting our company (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). If you appear in a post and no longer wish it to be published, a message to the address given above is sufficient; we will then remove the post from this website.

11. Your rights as a data subject

Under the GDPR you have, in particular, the following rights:

  • Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
  • Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
  • Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)

We take technical and organizational measures to protect your data against manipulation, loss and unauthorized access. Transmission is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.

13. Changes to this privacy policy
